In a recent discussion about the "Ground Zero Mosque" controversy in New York City, I was told that I should read the Koran. This directive, from a well-meaning friend, was given to me due to her view of Islam being dangerous and deadly. I don't agree with her. However, I did accept the challenge to read the Koran because I want to draw my own conclusions about its contents. I enter this process with an open mind and heart and a belief in religious freedom for all people. I invite you to read along with me, and I welcome your comments.
